RSS on Bangladesh Crisis: After the coup in Bangladesh, Nobel Prize winner Mohammad Yunus has become the head of the interim government there. The way the political crisis has emerged in Bangladesh in the last few days, countries around the world have expressed concern over the increasing violence there. During this time, many reports of attacks on Hindus have also come to light. Meanwhile, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale issued a statement condemning this incident.
Expressed concern over attacks on Hindus
RSS Sarkaryavah said, “RSS expresses concern over the incidents of violence against Hindus, Buddhists and other minority communities in Bangladesh during the movement for change of power in the last few days. The cruelty like targeted killing of Hindus and other minority community people in Bangladesh, looting, arson of their houses, heinous crimes against women and attacks on places of worship like temples is intolerable.”
Indian political parties should stay united
Dattatreya Hosabale has demanded from the executive government of Bangladesh that it should immediately put a strict stop to the atrocities being committed against Hindus and make arrangements for the safety of life, property and honour of the victims. He said, “In this critical time, the world community and all the political parties of India are also requested to stand in solidarity with the Hindus, Buddhists and other communities who have become victims of violence in Bangladesh.”
Dattatreya Hosabale said that RSS urges the Indian government to make every possible effort to ensure the safety of Hindus, Buddhists and other people in Bangladesh.
Apart from Mohammad Yunus, Bangladesh President Mohammad Shahabuddin also administered oath to 13 out of 16 members of the government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi He congratulated Muhammad Yunus and expressed hope that the situation in Bangladesh would soon return to normal and the safety of Hindus and other minority communities would be ensured.
